Hurston Waldrep pitches into sixth, keeps August ERA under 1
Hurston Waldrep posted an impressive 0.90 ERA in 30 innings during August 2025, showcasing his dominance on the mound. His performance included a solid 5 1/3 innings against the Marlins, where he allowed just one run. Waldrep is a strong candidate for NL Pitcher and Rookie of the Month, joining elite company with a sub-1.00 ERA in a month of at least 30 innings.

Atlanta Braves and Hurston Waldrep
The Atlanta Braves have optioned Hurston Waldrep to Triple-A to make room for Hayden Harris, who will provide additional bullpen depth for the team’s final stretch of the 2025 season. Waldrep has completed his season, posting a solid 2.88 ERA in 10 games, and is expected to be part of the 2026 rotation. Meanwhile, Harris, the Braves’ No. 26 prospect, has impressed in the minors with a 0.52 ERA and will look to contribute in the bullpen as the Braves wrap up their regular season.

on the cinderblock wall bordering the path toward the
field tunnel, depicting Atlanta Braves’ icons like John Smoltz, Hank Aaron, and Bobby Cox. Stamped in the middle of that mural is a quote written in bold, white lettering from John Schuerholz, the former Braves’ General Manager and the architect of their ‘90’s success.
